Anxiety is a common problem faced by many people now a day. It’s a disorder that raise due to constant worry and nervousness and most of the time related to poor brain health. You can overcome it through your diet but if it swerves then medication will be needed with a good diet. Here are some food that will overcome this issue:


Turmeric is a spice that is mostly used in Pakistani and South-East Asian cooking most of the time. The active ingredients found in turmeric are curcumin. It may help to lower down anxiety.


Yogurt contains healthful bacteria, Lactobacillus, and Bifid bacteria. These bacteria and fermented products have positive effects on brain health and control mood swings that cause depression and anxiety.  

Fatty fish:                                                                                                      

Salmon and trout fish are high in Omega-3. Omega-3 is high in fatty acid that has a strong relationship with cognitive function as well as mental health. If a body has more Omega-6 than Omega-3 it will cause mood swings and anxiety.

Vitamin D:

Eggs are also a great source of protein. Egg yolk is rich in vitamin D that the human body needs. If a body has a deficiency of vitamin D it may cause mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety. It may also improve seasonal disaffected orders during winter.

 Dark chocolate:

Dark Chocolate is also a source of magnesium. Take magnesium food or supplement to overcome deficiency otherwise, it may lead to increase depression and anxiety. Try to choose dark chocolate, aim for 70% or more. It also contains sugar and fats that are 1-3 grams per servings is appropriate.


When you feel anxiety disorder try to use citrus fruits that may help calm you and put you in a better frame of mind. In this case, you can use oranges and lemon that is good in flavor too.


Calf liver is best for overcoming this issue but you can eat chicken liver as well. Both are full of vitamin B and folic acid that help make brain chemicals that affect the way you feel.  

Meal preparation:

Preparing meals will help to reduce stress. Try to cook new recipes that you and your family love to eat. Spending time cooking delicious food will divert your attention from tension and you will be feeling good as you forget about your stress for a while.

Focus on your food:

When you feel hungry and want to eat food then try not to use TV, cell phones, or any other social media as it divert your attention from food and you will never get it properly.
