Tamar Braxton has reportedly been hospitalized in Los Angeles, after being found unresponsive in her hotel room on Thursday night, sources believe it was a possible suicide attempt.
According to The Blast, sources confirmed that the singer, 42, was found by her boyfriend David Adefeso at the Ritz Carlton Residences in Downtown Los Angeles, California – where the couple was staying.
The source told the publication that it was David who found her in an “unresponsive” state. After which he immediately called 911 to report the incident. Claiming Tamar Braxton had been drinking and had taken an unknown amount of prescription pills. Following which she was taken to hospital. Sources say he believed it was a possible suicide attempt.
Sources say ambulances arrived at the hotel and have transported the reality star to California hospital in Downtown L.A.
Los Angeles Police Department Sources confirmed that they had received a call around 9.45 pm. Reporting that a 43-year-old female had a medical emergency listed as a “possible overdose”. They also added that their officers are following the woman to the hospital for further investigation.
A spokesperson for the Braxton Family Values star also told the publication. “Tamar has had a very tough and emotional day – more information will be coming in the next few days. Please pray for her.”
Her YouTube shows that she stars in with David is called Coupled & Quarantined ad had been scheduled to air on Thursday night.
Instead, a message read: ‘Hello Y’all, Unfortunately, Your girl Tamar is under the weather today and not feeling well so we need to postpone today’s show (Don’t worry it’s not COVID).
‘We’re sad because we had a great show lined up for you today, but next week’s show is going to be even bigger and better.
‘So sorry for the inconvenience, we know many of you look forward to the show every week. we’ll make it up to you next week.’
After news about Braxton being admitted broke, her fans have been praying for her well being and safety. “This season is so trying! Praying for Tamar. Check on your friends and family,” wrote a fan. Another tweeted, “I plead the blood of Jesus over Tamar and nick right now! I’m dead serious. this year has us all f**d up”. Another fan shared, “Prayers up for #Tamar My God, what is going on? Just terrible. Pray she pulls through.” Another fan tweeted, “You can tell that Tamar is tired of playing the mean girl on tv. That st is profitable but exhausting. It’s not who she is.”
