Toyota Is Planning To Launch Yaris Sedan In Pakistan By Replacing Vios
There were rumors related to the Indus Motor Company (IMC), that the company is planning to replace the most popular 1.3 liter Toyota Corolla XLi & GLi variants with the Toyota Vios sedan in Pakistan, this is something that we have been hearing for more than a year now.

As previously the company had decided to not discontinue to the Toyota Corolla GLi because the brand remained the most popular in Pakistan. But at the same time, the company was looking to bring either Yaris or Vios variants in the market and it was sought that the Toyota Vios Sedan will replace the cars by mid-2018, however the plan was changed due to weakening economic condition of the Pakistan.

But, now there has been a change in plans as per source in the industry, IMC is now planning to launch Yaris Sedan in Pakistan instead of Vios a comparatively cheaper variant to own. It is difficult to say at this stage that whether the new Yaris sedan will replace the 1.3 liter Corolla variants or if it will be an entirely new model.
Toyota Yaris was first revealed in Thailand and was known as Yaris Ativ. However, it is likely to come with a smaller engine (1.2L Dual VVT-i 4-cylinder petrol engine) but might come with the same engine (1.3L) which is under the hood currently for Corolla Sedans.

Furthermore, Toyota is also testing the Daihatsu Bezza Sedan for the Pakistani market powered by a 1.0 liter or 1.3 liter engine and has a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
