James Bond 25 Officially Announces Cast, Crew, Rami Malek Confirmed As Villain

Today in a press reveal, the guardians of the James Bond franchise shared key casting updates about the upcoming 25th installment "Bond 25",producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson together with director Cary Joji Fukanaga revealed who would be joining Daniel Craig in his fifth and final 007 outing, and teased elements of the plot,announcing once and for all that Malek has been cast in a villainous lead role. The Oscar winner, who was stuck in New York during the announcement, confirmed his casting in a quick video,but didn't unveil a title.

James Bond Producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli confirmed the start of principal photography on James Bond 25 begins on 28 April 2019. The film is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and stars Daniel Craig, who returns for his fifth film as Ian Fleming's James Bond 007.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” star Rami Malek , appearing as the latest villain will be playing the mysterious Dr. No, a scientific genius who was also the first Bond movie villain in 1962,however his role is still unclear, but the Oscar winner, suggested his villainy in a video message on Thursday, “I’m very much looking forward to joining the whole cast and crew very soon, and I promise you all I will be making sure Mr. Bond does not have an easy ride of it in this,” Malek said.




The "Bond 25" movie's official logline states, "Bond has left active service. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology." The movie is expected to be released on April 8, 2020, according to IMBD.

The movie will be directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, the filmmaker who made the first season of “True Detective” a water cooler event. Locations for the movie include London, Italy and Norway, where some shooting has already taken place.
