An accountability court on Monday sentenced PM Nawaz Sharif seven years in prison in the Al-Azizia Steel Mills defilement reference and requested that his properties be seized. 

The court additionally fined Nawaz Rs1.5 billion and 2.5 million pounds, NAB Special examiner Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi said. 

In a short decision declared today, the court said there was solid proof against the previous prime minister in the Al-Azizia reference, and that he was not able to give a money trail for the situation. 

There was insufficient proof to convict Nawaz in the Flagship reference, in this way he has been acquitted, the choice read. 

Nawaz was arrested from the court premises following the decision, after which he is relied upon to be taken to prison. 

The previous head asked for that he be moved to Kot Lakhpat Jail, Lahore rather than Adiala Jail, which was allowed by the court. 

Reinforced vehicles remaining by outside the premises transported the previous three-time prime minister to prison. They left the complex at 4:45pm. 

Nawaz will go from Rawalpindi to Lahore in his own vehicle and will be joined by a legal officer. He has asked Hamza Shahbaz to reach Adiala prison with the vehicle at 10am.
