An American tourist was brutally killed by unidentified people in Andaman and Nicobar’s North Sentinel Island. The injured individual has been known as John Allen Chau. The neighborhood police have registered a case of murder and captured seven individuals regarding the homicide of Chau.
As indicated by Andaman Sheekha daily paper, the injured individual had visited Islands multiple times in past and wanted to meet Sentinelese Tribes for lecturing Christianity. Sentinelese tribe is an endangered community with a population of around 40 (Census of India, 2011) and are known to resist contact with the outside world.
Chau reportedly hired a fishing dinghy from Chidiyatapu territory and achieved the island on November 16, from where he went in his very own cacoe, the website detailed.
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are a gathering of islands at the point of the Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea.
