UPS reveals New Electric Delivery Trucks that will deploy in London and Paris

Electric vehicles can help keep your town and your world clean.

UPS announced that they have been working with ARRIVAL a UK-based technology firm since 2016 to develop a number of different prototypes.And their first modular of 35 EVs are expected to be deployed on the road before the end of 2018 in London and Paris.

These modular delivery trucks will have zero Tailpipe emissions, Arrival says they’ll also feature “advanced safety” and a 150-mile battery range.Among other features UPS EVs will equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) that help to improve safety and reduce driver fatigue. UPS says that their EV will have a "highly advanced vehicle display" that will provide driver intelligent and connected vehicle.

Denis Sverdlov, CEO of ARRIVAL said in a statement: “We’re excited to collaborate with UPS to create an affordable, modular, fully electric delivery vehicle designed to make deliveries in our busy cities clean and quiet, With its unique, wrap-around front window the driver has a much wider field of view that improves not only the safety of the driver but also that of cyclists and pedestrians.”

Electromobility and alternative technology vehicles are a priority for UPS.
“This initiative will help UPS attain its global carbon reduction goals for the company’s facilities and fleets,” said Peter Harris, director for sustainability at UPS Europe. “We will continue working with our partners, communities and customers to spark innovation, thus leading the industry toward a more sustainable future.”
